Pairing Sound Devices with Sony PCM
« on: May 04, 2014, 02:54:40 PM »
I'm considering pairing my Sony PCM D1 recorder with a portable mixer, right now I'm looking at the Sound Devices 442 and 302. Does anyone have any experience working with this pairing directly? If so, are you happy with it?

Any experience with pairing the other Sony PCM units (D50, D100) with one of the Sound Devices mixers above would also be insightful.

I'm primarily concerned, after looking at the various outputs on the SD 442 for example, about the optimal signal path to use in order to preserve a clean stereo signal from the 442 output, going into the PCM?...What cable would I need, essentially?
