I have run 7.2v for the UA5(DIY digimod, w/ oktava, AKG48x, AKG46x ) w/o any issues.

i just bought a 9v 5400mah battery from wallmart that looks the same as that 7.2v one....will it work?

Yep, i use that very battery.

thanks and +T...how long will the ua-5 run from a full charge off of this battery?
i found it on clearance for 29.99 too so check your walmarts if you want one or an extra

ok i just opened the package and the wire that goes from the output of the battery doesnt fit the ua-5s power input....i suspect i need some kind of adapter, what kind and where should i get it? radio shack?

I think they provide something like 8 or 9 hours of juice to a UA-5. There should be info on building a power cable for the UA-5 in the archive section. Looks like I'll be checking for clearance batts tomorrow. ;)
