Anyone have any experience with one of these?
I'm thinking about getting one to continue my VHS>DVD-R conversion projects. I'm currently running the VCR thru a video card and editing out commercials in TPMGEnc. But with this I would copy VHS>DVD-RW then rip the DVD-R to mpeg to edit with TPMGEnc. I figure with DVD-RW support, I can just reuse the 1 DVD-RW over and over instead of wasting DVD-R's just to get the source to the PC.
This unit has flashcard slots but unfortunately for read-only. I also read it doesn't support DVD-A or SACD but apparently supports just about every other format of video/audio.
They list for $400 but Best Buy has $50 off plus 10% off coupon thru today so I need to decide in the next few hours.
