So my little sis only has her phone and iTunes, and a Bluetooth speaker. She has a tiny ass studio, and has a lot of stuff.

I’m trying to find a way to share flacs, is there a way to do this with just a little hone for storage?

Thanks!!!

VLC will play them on Apple products.  I haven't looked at the iPhone version of VLC in a long time, though.

I usually convert to apple lossless with XLD for Mac use.

If she'd be playing the files on a bluetooth speaker, why not give her the files in AAC format instead of lossless?

I just had a client ask how to open 24bit flac files on a Mac oor iPhone
this was my answer following a quick googling session:
Quote
If you use current iTunes player on a MAC it should automatically convert to aiff.
If not, look for an aiff to flac converter app.
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204310

IF on a phone or ipod:
https://www.5kplayer.com/iphone-manager/flac-to-iphone.htm
tells you how to manually do it on a Mac, then use on the iPod/iPhone
OR
how to directly play them using an APP named VLC (which I highly approve of all vlc products)
music IS love

When you get confused, listen to the music play!

f she has high speed wireless access another option worth considering to just stream the flacs from hightail, google drive or dropbox.  I have not tested google drive or dropbox personally but I do that sometimes using my hightail account.  I also plan to test this on my new 5G Samsung but as I understand it 5G should easily support the bandwidth of streaming flacs.  That would save her storage space on the phone.

Late response, but I ewould recommend what everyone else has given. From experience, if you were to send a flac to someone's phone number (iMessage), 60% of the time it decodes to m4a.

Depending on what iOS she has, (and iPhone), you can do a WeTransfer of the .flac files. If she downloads it, it would go into the "Files" app, where she can preview it from there. Storage heavy most likely, but should be okay.
