Any problems running 4 mics close together?
« on: February 03, 2007, 11:44:07 AM »
Hey guys,

So I'm taping Rusted Root next Friday (this will be my first time out), and (for now) I'm planning on running 4 mics on the same stand. I'll be using my mics which are SP-C4's, and my friend Chris's mics, SMK-H8K's. We figured out how to safely put them on the same stand and such, but will there be a problem, sound-wise, having 4 mics close together?

Thanks guys.

As of now, we are planning on checking to see how the 2 seperate recordings come out, and then see if it is worth mixing the sources.

Some stands get a lot more than 4 mics on them. We call those trees.
