Adobe Audition users
« on: January 04, 2008, 09:07:06 AM »

I hope there are some of you out there cause I am stumped.

I have been using Audition for a few years now and can generally figure things out.  I recently switched from running a 722 to a 744 and when the switch was made went from running stereo files in the 722 to running mono files in the 744.  However, when I open my mono files in Audition it seems to be making each mono file a stereo file upon playback.  Aside from panning hard left and right what options do I have to get my mono left channel to come out of the left output and right out of right.  Then save them as such to create a stereo image?  Right now my left mono file is coming out both outputs as well as my right.

Any help is hugely appreciated.

So after much tinkering looking for a way to insert mono files and create a stereo file I figured out all i had to do was pan them hard left and right.

Hope this is correct.  It sounds correct!

Slap the mono files into the multi-track view and pan each to their respective position.  You got it!  That is the proper way to do it :)

Cool, thank you for reconfirming what took me a couple days to figure out.

I just kept thinking there was a setting I was missing upon loading the files.  Panning seemed to work at first but I couldn't tell if I was degraiding the signal or not.

Thank you!!
