Title: MM Audio's Stereo Preamp?
Post by: thinkstopthink on July 17, 2011, 01:11:50 AM
Hi,

I was curious if anyone is using MM's Stereo Preamp:

Anyone compared it to Naint/Church Audio/other products?

Thanks!

Jon

I had one, and did not have any luck for my hlsc mics.  It completely brickwalled my recordings.  Chris Church tested it and said the frequency levels were messed up.  I am not sure if that was mine, or them in general.  Ask him for his opinion.

I tested a this preamp and compared it to mine. The graph below is the result. I have two of the same preamps they both tested like this.

Whats the point of building something that cant let in all the sound that is coming into it? Most preamp's are very flat actually.

Oh I agree Chris! Your products are just in a league of their own. They sound like much more expensive products
