I just recorded for the second time with the JB3.  The first time I used Creative's Playcenter to get the files off and it took about 100 tries before they came off comlpetely.  OK, I exaggerate, maybe on 59 tries.

Now, not wanting to deal with the Creative CRAP again I went out and bought Notmad.  I am concerned for two reasons.  1) I am experiencing the same problem with Notmad, and 2) Red Chair will not reply to my queries about the problem.  (i.e. refund, etc)

I went and downloaded Micro$lut's "Plus! Portable Audio Devices Power Toy" because I am just flat out deperate at this point.  It sees the files and won't let me move them.

JB3 is hooked up with latest Creative drivers and latest firmware via a AC power and a 1394 line.

Anyone with any ideas?

if all else fails, you could try usb to dump it... maybe reflash the firmware

i am not 100% certain of that answer, so i guess if it was my irreplacable shit, i wouldnt do it without absolute knowledge and not my Cotton-Headed-Ninny-Muggins understanding of the situation... i thought it kept the data and 'rebuilt the library' with a flash.  the usb should be a workable angle, especially if you reinstall the drivers on the pc.

If I reflash the firmware, which is an option that I have considered, will it kill the recording on board or is that only if I do a reformat?
