Lots of incorrect data re:DPA
4051 is an omni the 4011 is a cardioid.
The 4051/52/53 uses the same capsule as the legendary 4006
the 4021/22/23 is cardioid and uses the same capsule as the 4011
The list price on the 4011 is : $1850.00 ea.
The 4051/52/53 series lists at $1425.00 ea.
The 4021/22/23 lists at $1599.00 ea.

the reference to the 4051's are not to DPA's but to Audio Technica microphones.  thus the confusion.

the secret to DPA mics is much more than the thickness of the diaphragm.
It has a lot to do with polar pattern control, DPA makes only true 1st order cardioids, causing off axis response to be "pure" and free of non linearities in frequency response. That and the flat phase response of DPA mics. DPA uses no eq in the preamp stage to "flatten out" the mics response as everyone else does. DPA mics also have true "linear dynamic tracking" unlike nearly anything else out there. and much more, way too much to type! But those are a couple of very important attributes.
