Weird DDS drive issue
« on: February 02, 2004, 09:10:22 AM »
i don't need help, my auto-discover script found it, but...

without changing a damn thing in my computer's hardware setup, my DDS drive jumped from  bus 0 id 2 to bus 2 id 2.
I went to run dat2wav with my usual batch file and it said "there is no compatible device at 0:2" so i ran the discovery script, and it found it at 2:2...  so i changed my batch files and all is good, but.. i'm wondering, how the hell did it just jump from one bus to another (my computer has 2 scsi controllers installed, i haven't even rebooted it but i know it's on the secondary one..)

only thing i can think of is, i upgraded nero express 6 to nero 6 ultra, maybe the newer ATAPI drivers changed it up somehow.

That sounds like a good guess. Good info.
