Title: Littlebox vs V3
Post by: brewcrew87 on July 06, 2011, 11:07:35 PM
one of the phish pulls from phish at watkins glen sounded suprisingly good and i thought it was a v3 then i noticed it was a littlebox, which got me to thinking how the 2 stack up against each other. thoughts please...

having owned both at the same time I feel that the Littlebox stacks up quite well
the V3 is easier to set good levels on due to the metering... but that's nothing that can't be fixed in post
as far as the mics I ran thru them (460s/480s) I like the sound of both preamps
I decided that I wanted to go small with my rig, that's why I sold my V3 and all the batteries needed to run it

Those are my pulls from SB9. I have owned a DMIC20/v2/v3/sonosax/m148/722/littlebox and I can honestly say that it sounds just as good as any of those preamps :) Just has a diff sound. I am selling my MBHO/LB/722 to get MK41's>Lemosax tho
