Ok, I'm still looking into on of these to power the laptop can anyone with one take some close up pictures of the connections. I'm going to have to hack a cable as my laptop is not supported. I was just wondering what I may have to expect.
-
i'll try to remember to snap shots of mine....what laptop model do you have?
-
:-X ??? 8)It's a Desknote. It use a 3 prong plug. Pretty much exclusive to this kind of laptop. There fore I'll have to hack the cable. ::) :'( :-\
Sorry Ben can't get enough of the smilies

simp, do you have the 5hr or the 10hr model?
i can only find the 10hr online and i want to try it out first, so i guess i could get the 5hr one from bestbuy to see if i like it and just return it, it sucks i cant find the 10hrs locally.

can you show some pics of the power connector and how it uses part of your laptop's power supply?
-
That's it at the top of the last two images, it's like a pass through cable, with one end connecting to the computer's AC Adapter and the other end connecting to your computer. If you want closer pics I can snap them in a little while. ;)
-
does it use the power adapter to charge it or is it necessary for just using the battery?
-
Um, I'm not sure I understand the question. The NCharge uses your laptop's AC adapter to charge.
If you notice in the above images there are two cables on the NCharge. The one on the left is an "input" where you plug in the AC Adapter. The one on the right goes to your computer...
-
please some of the connector. I may not have to hack it, but I need to see the adapter close up. Thanks

the power adapter that comes with laptops are always two pieces. so basically, you put the valence inline between the two pieces?
-
Sorry, I'll go snap some pics right now...
-
Ok, here are the pics I just took. Basically you take the plug that usually goes into the computer and plug it into the NCharge, then the NCharge cable into the computer.

I'm guessing the white piece is for your mac. I'm guessing as well it can be used with a PC 3 prong power adapter. It's a liteon AC adapter Model PA-1900-05.
-
Well you have to get the model that works with your computer, the Apple notebooks all use model "C" I believe. If you go to their website to place an order they make you choose the kind of notebook you have.
And yes, the white piece is for my Mac. :)
