will this effect the cost any?
-
Why do I want this? My MiniMe already has a USB port on it that can allegedly be updated / upgraded / replaced. Why in the world would I want a model without one now but I can add one later?
-
The cost will be less than the original...
If you're not using the USB why pay extra for it?
That is what Apogee must be thinking because not everyone is using it.
It can still be connected to a computer and record in 24/96 8)

gotta be slightly cheaper is my guess, eh? not quite sure of the logic in this, but that's Apogee for ya. ;)
-
I think I saw a price around $1100 with out USB and $1395 with it.

"It can still be connected to a computer and record in 24/96"
Tack on the extra $300 or so for something like a vx pocket though.
The usb only supports a true 24/48 bit depth/resolution.

Will the uab ever support 24/96? I would assume it would but was just curious. Plus, the vx poxket sucks IMHO, to dainty for my likes at least. I would definately want a MMe with the usb just in case I decide to go the lappy route, which seems to be more and more likely now that I have a MMe! Also, FYI: Apogee raised dealer costs on the MMe by a hundred bucks, so if you are in the market, now is the time to buy before dealers get new stock!

Well Scott and I are planning on eventually getting a EMI interface so we can do 24/96, AT first it will be 24/48 for me, DAT for him.
-
S/PDIF is sent at 24/96 via the BNC/ S/PDIF at a true 24/96, so i'm told......... ;D dont know how true it is....... ;) have yet to run one........ ;D

VX Pocket only does 24/48 as well. EMI 2|6 will do 24/96 for around 300.00 though. ;D
