Title: Mogami 3106
Post by: tchoub on November 06, 2005, 02:25:52 AM
Hello,
I would like to build a stereo 1/8" to 2 RCAs cable.
I've bought some Mogami 3106 stereo microphone cable but I'm a little bit confused by their design.
Each channel has shield and two wires (a blue and a white one, see pic).
From a previous post (http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=16786.0), this is how I am supposed to wire everything:
"RCA 1 (Right) > mini

Hot>Ring
Shield>Sleeve

RCA 2 (Left) > mini

Hot>Tip
Shield>Sleeve

on the mini, just tie the 2 sheilds from each RCA together and solder at the same point"

So, should I choose one of the two wires for my signal and solder the other one with the shield to the same point ?

Sorry, this is the very first cable that I am going to construct...
Any help highly appreciated.
