Title: Travel Tripods
Post by: Sanjay on August 03, 2005, 09:40:09 AM
Anyone have any suggestions?
Looking at the Velbon Maxi 343E it looks solid and compact, I want this for hiking and travel basically.  I have only a Canon G6 so it won't be a ton of weight on the tripod.  Anyone used this one?

I'm open to any suggestions here.

Thanks so much!     ;D

how much are you looking to spend?  a low cost and compact option is to get a beanbag support.  it basically is a weighted beanbag with a tripod stud on it.  less versatile than a tripod since you have to put it on the ground or another object but it's an option.

between $100-$200 obviously less is better but I am looking for decent quality in this to last me awhile.  I hadn't heard of the beanbag support, i'll look into them.  Thanks alot for that suggestion +T
