DVD-A Authoring
« on: December 22, 2005, 01:49:19 AM »
Is there any way to author a DVD-A in 16/44.1 using Audio DVD Creator?  I'd like to put some of my 16/44.1 recodings on one DVD rather than multiple CDs but I can't figure out how to do so.

audio-dvd-creator does not creat DVD-Audio discs, but rather, it creates DVD-Video discs.  the DVD-Videa spec is limited to either 48kHz or 96kHz.  if you want to use 44.1 audio, you need to either resample to 48, or creat an actual DVD-Audio disc.

my website lists all the programs to use for DVD-Audio (http://24bit.turtleside.com/), including Scott Brown's free GUI.  that's what I would recommend.
Of course, you also need to make sure that your player will play DVD-Audio discs.

WaveLab 5 creates DVD-Audio discs.  Scott Brown has written a free GUI for the open source DVD-Audio project.  So if all you need is to create DVD-Audio discs, his small program works great and is much simpler to just drag and drop the files and create an ISO file to be burned.

Moke - sure, we could put it in the archive section.  where would it go, "computer recording" section there?

edit to add -
the thread about DVD-Audiofile (Scott's program) is here:
