Tascam US-122 USB Audio/MIDI Interface
Has anyone tried these as a pre-amp/phantom power/analog-digital converter for the taping shows? If it is a decent piece of machinery it looks like a pretty sweet deal. If you have let all of us know about it, or if you have some tapes you have made with it drop me a line and give me a listen.

fyi- the pre's in tascam equipment almost always blow.

I've heard good things about it if you are just going into a computer. It won't operate standalone and give s/pdif out.

Hey...I used the US-122 for a couple months...at the price, i think its a fine beginner all in one box...as for tapes..you can check out this charlie hunter show on the archive Oktava 012 > US122 http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=8025 (http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=8025)....it was very stable with my setup -- windows 2k, samplitude 7.02...let me know if you have any questions....speaking of the US-122...I'm thinking about selling mine as i just picked up a FW410...let me know
