SBM-1 Broken Knob
« on: January 28, 2004, 07:03:27 PM »
The recording level knob on my SBM-1 fell off... Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it or where to get it fix?

Cool, I'll give him a shout... Anyone with a DIY fix?

on a side note: Schwilly, Me and my gear might be moving back to SLO...  ;D You live in SLO right? Or I'm confusing you with someone else?

Rick, woot woot! Schwilly, Sparge, and I all live in SLO. Like Rod Roddy always said (before he got no-diced), "come on down!"

Dang! well.. we will have slo covered then! Its been 4 years, but from what I remember, SLO has to be the easiest place to stealth ;) More tapers per person then any city in the US  ;D

whoa... that's kinda fucked up
I’ve had a few weird experiences and a few close brushes with total weirdness of one sort or another, but nothing that’s really freaked me out or made me feel too awful about it. - Jerry Garcia

the sampling rate switch did the same thing when i borrowed bill (busknuckle)'s sbm-1, and prodigital said the on-off switch was about to go as well... $60 for peace of mind was worth it...

I remember when the Oade boys mod'd my SBM and sent it back broken, showing that they had not even tested the mod.
That was neat
um not!

Funny, I didn't notice my SMB-1 broken until after I got it back from Oade....  :hmmm:

from doug

"Hi !
I am embarrassed to say Yes. I do remove the knob to extract the unit
from the case. It seems the set screw did not get tightened as much as
it should have and this caused it to fall off. I am truly sorry and I am
willing to help if I can, just let me know...thanks and once again, I am
sorry...Doug"

At least he admits its his fault. He'll get my business in the future!
