speaker cables
« on: January 18, 2005, 10:17:50 PM »
I know speaker cables get up there in bucks, big bucks, but while I was at the gym this evening, I was pondering this question...where do the materials used actually come from, as in there is no way in the world that 3000 dollar speaker cables cost more than a couple hundred to make I wouldn't think ???  Basically, I am curious as to what materials are in big time speaker cables that make them so exspensive?  Even looking at raw pure silver wire, it looks to me like a 20 foot pair would cost less than a couple hundred with the insulation etc.  Just curious if anyone knew?
