Modding PCM-D50 or M10 w/a locking mini jack
« on: September 07, 2011, 12:57:33 PM »
Has anyone done this? Is it possible?

I have a D50 and if the line and mic in jacks were locking, it'd be a (more) perfect machine for me.

I think you'd have to modify the plastic housing to do that with the ring on the locking mechanism and ditch the optical connection. I don't know of any locking jacks that are analog/optical combo jacks.

I'd suggest using a lot of gaffer tape or a rubber band if you're having troubles with the connection.
