« on: October 12, 2004, 10:11:16 PM »
I have a multiface (and cardbus adapter) that i have been using with my picturebook (667 caruso, 384 mb memory)  I have been taking 24/96 digi input with no problem, but wanted to try recording 8 seperate analoge ins  (at 16/44.1)tomorow night.  anyone ever used a picturebook for multitracking like this?  can the caruso processor keep up??

thanks!

i've taken 4 analog feeds at 24/96 (i.e. 2 stereo tracks) with no problems using n-track and a picturebook.  cpu usage isn't all that important when recording.  i'm under 10% usage with a 5-600 MHz processor.  don't remember the exact number.  it's playback when picturebook cpu's become an issue.
