Zoom H2 size problem
« on: July 12, 2009, 11:18:54 AM »
Hi i recorded ratdog last night and the size of the file went over 1.99 gb (96 kHz, 24 bit) , which caused the h2 to stop recording for about a minute and then start up again. I was wonderin' if anyone else experienced this before.  The sd card i had was a 4 gig card so it didn't run out of space, it just stopped at 1.99 gb, then started up again a minute later, at least i had another source to get that minute on...

did this happen to anyone else, and if so did you find a way to fix it, or should i just record in a lower sample rate?

The H2 does indeed pause for a remarkably long time between files.  You have to use settings to match the required recording time.  With the H2, the chances of you noticing the difference between 24/96 and 16/44.1 are close to zero.
