Hi, I'm newbie here looking for advise. Last year I recorded rock concert, but since my recorder failed I was able to record only with a spare one which was my smartphone, so the recording is in wave format but mono. But a problem is, it is heavy distorted. I wonder if it is any way to make it better. Here is one song:

Also when you record using microphones with foam your sound is...??? How do you call it: hollow, flat or ??
Thank you in advance

I use SoundForge Audio Cleaning Lab to remove clicks and crackling.I check to see if stereo widening helps to move the distortion to a place less noticible. I then open the file in SOundForge Audio Studio and use a EQ and determine what frequencies are doing the most & least distortion, and adjust. Sometimes some frequencies can help cover up some distiortion. You could use your favorite audio tool, Audacity is pretty good and free.
