Cover Art using xACT?
« on: August 29, 2022, 03:57:38 PM »
I am trying to add cover art to files during the encoding process that already have metadata from tracking and export via audacity. Is this possible in xACT? What am I missing?

  • If it's too loud, turn it down.

On my mac version 2.50, it asks if you want to use a photo file as the cover art if it's in the same folder as the individual files you are tagging.
Mics: mk4v/mk41v/mk22 > CMC1L/Nbobs, 4061, MKE2
Preamps: Mixpre-D, Nbox Platinum ABS
Recorders: Mixpre-6 ii, PCM-A10

So , I'm using the same version 2.5 on Mac. Normally I just drag my files down into the window of the encode tab. It doesn't ask me anything about the photo file. Instead of dragging into the window if I click add it lets me direct it to a folder but no mention of the jpeg in the file. Sad thing is I feel like I've done this before and I just can't remember the trick.

Edit: Figured it out. Go to the tags tab. From there it will ask if you want use the photo in the file when you hit write tags. After that encode....Eureka
