I've thought about bringing my camera to shows and start making some dvds. i have a JVC Gr-DVL310U...plus i have a Sony Wideangle. It's somewhat of a long camera but the quality is good. My first question is if it's even possible to get into some venues...and secondly, how do i get it in?

If there is a will, there is a way!
Think positive.

with that small of a camcorder it should be no problem as long as you don't make it too obvious that your taping and crotch the gear before you get in, the way i do it is if i'm in a seat is put the camcorder between your legs and drape a coat over the cam just the only fault to this is that you can't really do too many zoom ins because you can't watch the screen. if standing always be on the watch for security i only got caught once doing video and that was because i was at the front of the stage for a ZZ Top show last summer, and i didn't get nabbed until the show was over and was leaving.

Yeah, if you get caught, usually what are the consequences?

take the tape and throw you out. they can't take your equipment.

thats usually the worst case scenario. with smaller venues, theres a good chance they'll just tell you to turn it off.
