This newly released firmware update for the MR-1000 adds many new features to improve operational ease.

# MP3 Playback
The MR-1000 now supports playback of MP3 files. Playback of MP3 files (44.1 kHz or 48 kHz sampling frequencies, and bit rates of 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 80, 96, 112, 128, 160, 192, 224, 256, and 320 kbps)

# Easier access to the file that you want to play
New enhancements include the ability to move between directories during playback, alphabetical sorting in the library display, and a scroll display function.

# A "Quick Play" Function
Quick Play eliminates the time lag that normally occurs before playback when you press the play/pause button to load and then play the data.

# Updated Audiogate software (version 1.0.1)
New enhancements include compatibility with Microsoft Windows Vista (32-bit), a new function to export only selected songs in the songlist, and a new function to select different filters for the conversion from 1bit/2.8MHz songs to 176.4kHz or 192kHz PCM files has been added.
