Title: new Millenia Media portable pre/A-D in the works
Post by: trajhip2000 on May 02, 2006, 01:23:58 PM
so I was at a Sacramento Youth Symphony concert this past Sun (my daughter plays viola) and noticed a recording rig down front (ribbon mics in a Blumlein config) - turned out it was being run by John La Grou from Millenia Media, http://www.mil-media.com/. Got to talk to him for a few minutes, he mentioned that they were working on a universally powerable (incl. 12V DC) 2-ch mic pre and A/D combo. Didn't get a projected release date, but sounds like one worth watching for!

John Lagrou is a super nice guy.

those pres are very nice. Clean as a whistle. The most transparent detailed "precise" pre I have ever heard.nothing touches them in that regard....I have the HV-3C, which has the option of adding on an ADC.

The products are also VERY expensive. I would never in a million years drag one into a rock concert.

Mick at DAVElectronics  is working on a Portable Version too, which is what I am waiting for. I prefer my DAVs over my millennia, as they are very clean, but more euphonic.
