Tekkeon battery cell replacement?
« on: January 14, 2019, 07:36:59 PM »
I haven't been on the site in a while and have gotten back into recording again after selling my Schoeps rig. I have a bunch of Tekkeon batteries that arrived DOA when I bought them on eBay. Back then Steve (Tonedeaf) offered changing out the cells so the batteries would work. I was wondering if anyone knows how to do this swap out and could be of help for me with all of these dead Tekkeons, so I can bring them back to life. I have a 3450 with the extended backup attachment that has been working like a charm for me for years. Since I can't get a replacement for it, I was hoping to refurbish some of these I bought that arrived DOA. I know there are other power solutions, but considering I have almost a dozen of these things, I'd like to see about making them work again. Thanks for any help.
