The D 88 is a dynamic microphone with no active circuitry inside, so it doesn't require powering. (AKG microphones whose names start with "D" are dynamic, a/k/a magnetic; those beginning with "C" are condenser microphones.)
You will need to turn your preamp or recorder's level controls up farther for this type of microphone than you are probably used to; dynamic microphones are 10 - 20 dB less sensitive than condensers are in general.
An MAS 50S connector appears to be the 5-pin version of what people in the U.S. used to call a "DIN plug" back in the day. German hifi and semi-pro tape recorders (e.g. Revox) and even stereo amplifiers and receivers from central Europe used to have input sockets for that type of plug. An adapter to 2 x XLR-3M wouldn't be hard to wire up; those connectors are still around, though I haven't seen any new equipment use them in a long time.
