Title: Sony PCM-M10 firmware reflash
Post by: 7even18 on March 25, 2016, 02:32:57 PM
Hi All,

I've recently bought a PCM-M10 Japanese version. I understand that the language is fixed to Japanese only and I haven't been able to find a workaround to change the language to English.

Does anyone know of a way to reflash/reset/reinstall an English version? I'm curious to know if it is possible to extract the firmware from an International/English PCM-M10 on a desktop and use those files to overwrite and replace the existing Japanese firmware files?

Or

Is there a another way to solve this issue?
Would a local authorised Sony dealer be willing to address such an issue?

Please provide any related advice.

Thanks ahead of time.

check the users manual and all the required information is there....it allows you to select language from a menu.
I had the same concerns but it really is a simple fix!
