Title: Gender of V2 power input
Post by: Scooter on March 07, 2005, 09:09:36 AM
What's the gender of the V2's 4-pin xlr power input jack??  I've got one on the way, and I need to make up an extra cord for it, and can't find the info anywhere...

As with all XLR's male is output and female is input. pretty easy to remember if you think about it  ;D

Actually, in this case - if memory serves - I believe the output from the battery is F and the input on the V2 is M.  I remember thinking it was backwards when I had the V2.  Anyone still have one that can confirm one way or the other?

true for audio signal, but the standard convention with power connection is the opposite.

Female is OUTPUT, while Male is INPUT. why you ask? it's unsafe to have male prongs live with active voltages.
