UA-5 problem?

so last night i try to run a friend's wmod UA-5 again (3rd time)  this time i run into my JB3 optical in well before the show starts i get no signal so i take this patcher’s coax and run that into his hosa box and got a signal.  So at set break I tried the optical to JB3 once again and this time I got a signal.  So when I got home I took a listen and it sounded like I recorded it in low speed dubbing like the band was playing at half speed……


any ideas?

Which was set to 44.1... the nomad or the ua5?  It seems to me that if you had the nomad at 44.1 but the ua5 at 96, this coul dhappen, or if you had the ua5 at 44.1 and the nomad at 32.

digital signal - jb3 would lock at the ua5 sample rate setting no matter what it is

coupla things though...
- JB3 sets it clock on the 1st signal - if you change the source the JB3 will not change.  It will still capture every sample but the wave header will be written as whatever the 1st signal was unless you back right out of recording and start over.
- JB3 tries its best - feed it 96k and it will record most of the samples but put a 48k wave header on it

Wave header errors are easily corrected in any wave editor
