Title: Problem with in-ear mics falling out
Post by: anr on April 29, 2012, 03:48:26 AM
I have a friend who makes lots of very good recordings.  Until recently she used Sound Pro in-ear mics with a retaining clip that looped round the ear.

She is now trying OKM II in-ears, with no retaining clip.  One constantly falls out.

I know using these is a very personal thing - I've never been able to find ear-buds of any type to stay in my ears - so wondered if anyone had any experience of this and, short of using surgical tape to fix them, what solutions are available.  The obvious (or perhaps not!) would be bigger foam receptacles, but I thought of adapting them with Sound Pro type clips, or even the expense of a moulded insert similar to in-ear monitors.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I have inserted dpa 4061s thru earplugs.i used an ice pick to make the hole and fee the mic thru.
