Tascam 16 channel interface with 8 micpreamps & 8 line level inputs for a total of 16 channels.  Has line level outputs for the mic preamps.  Also has USB interface for DAW recording.  Looks like it's selling for about $300.  Runs on DC power so could  be used in the field too.  http://tascam.com/product/us-16x08/overview/
