Battery charger: over- or undercharging?
« on: October 25, 2007, 03:57:41 AM »
Hi all,

I've been searching for an 8V power supply. This is not strictly taper related, since I need it for my Logitech Harmony http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/remotes/universal_remotes/devices/374&cl=gb,en charging cradle.

The cradle charges a Li-Ion battery, but Logitech doesn't sell the power supply as a spare part.
I thought of replacing it with a generic multi charger, but the only come in either 7,5V or 9V.

What would be best: to over- or undercharge the cradle? I reckon it would be safer to just run it on 7,5V, provided it gives enough juice to keep the Li-Ion charged.

Thanks for any suggestions!

/Jan
