JB3 help
« on: February 04, 2005, 01:27:40 PM »
Having problems with my JB3 right now. It is stuck on the Re-building Library screen. Been a few minutes now. Have tried several times to restart it to see if it would work, but I get the same thing. Should I just try to let it rebuild? Let me know.

Let it re-build. You must have made some changes to it recently. Added or deleted files maybe?

Yeah I deleted about 3 gigs of concerts. Thing is that earlier it went through the rebuild process after I deleted those files. Still stuck on the screen....

Better reset that bad boy(use paperclip or yank batteries) and hope it snaps out of it.

I've had a rebuild take well over 5mins before. Sometimes it can be slow...Hope you have backups, you may have to dump and reload.

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to backup some of the concerts. There is only about 4 I care about. Just going to keep on trying to let it rebuild. Hopefully I don't have to delete everything.

You aren't able to bring up the rescue screen?   Pressing the reset button, holding stop, the pressing play once you see the "Creative Logo".

yep, once you're in the rescue screen, don't format or do a disc cleanup...just restart the player and you should be back to normal.

Just went through that process. Cleaned up the hard drive, and was able to get past the re-build screen with all of my concerts in tack. Thanks for the help everyone. +T.

A Disc Clean Up will sometimes remedy the problem.    Format would lose all your data.

Just had to do this, but NOT doing a disc cleanup didn't achieve getting it past the hang up on "Rebuilding Library". I DID do  Disc Cleanup and all is back to normal. Phew!

I taped Ramon Vargas and Renee Flemming in an outdoor venue last evening and woulda be super bummed not to have enjoyed it again. Great singing. Not a rock concert, by any stretch of the imagination, but still fun to be under the stars listening to great music.

Hey Ray. It was a fun concert. Yes, at Waldbuene at the Olympic Stadium.

First Tosca is Sept 16. More info on the opera's webpage for whom I sing now. (Staats) I may make the same offer as I have before: 2 free tix to a tapir and friend for a nice "date." We'll see.....

Anyway, thank GOD for this forum, having this wealth of info is dynamite. I might even have to reach into my pockets now to see that li'l green flag thingy next to my name.....
