319 are large diaphram mics. The 012 are small diaphrams and the ones that everyone uses and likes. You want the 012. I would like to get a pair of 319 myself to see how they sound

I am in the process of evaluating a "mod" to the MC012 bodies.

I like the way these microphones sound without the mod, so I'm hoping the mod makes them even better. The last pair I bought had better quality electronics than the older ones I have. They work and sound as good as the more expensive "matched pair" I spent a lot of money on. Last month Guitar Center ran a buy one for $99, get one free sale! I've seen them go for around$70 ea. regularly on eBay, but sometimes you can get then even cheaper.

I think the MC012's are the best bargain out there for the money.
