Title: Battery Power for UA-5 Question
Post by: Cheesecadet on November 17, 2007, 06:19:57 PM
Would a 9v 660mAh LiON battery power the UA-5?

I have seen 7.2v & 9v dvd battery options...would both of these voltages power the unit????? ???

It uses 9V, but 660mAH would only power it hour a little under an hour and a half. It draws 450 mA.

I bought 3 cheap ratshack rc batteries w/ chargers for my UA5 2x 1500mah and 1x100mah. Plenty of power to run for festival w/ power to spare for most fest.
Peace ;D

Ah ha! Then 9V should be all you need.

Beware, some of the 9v li-ion batts marketed as 6600 mAH are actually only 5400 mAH (still plenty for a UA5 for most situations).  At least that's my experience.  YMMV.

What does YMMV mean? Just Curious...
