Title: M1 DAT 7 Pin Coaxial Out to USB?
Post by: szumsteg on November 08, 2008, 01:49:05 PM
I am trying to resurect some DATs and the only DAT player I have these days is my M1. To go out digitally I use that 7 pin coaxial cable that Core made/makes to an old egosys wt2496 digital soundcard. I had to put it into a new computer, and while the card is working in analog mode, it just will not with the digital input no matter what I do.

Is there one of these tools (like an m audio fastrack pro) that will take the coaxial in from the DAT and transfer it into the computer via USB. Like I say my rudimentary research makes it look like the m audio fastrack pro has about every input out there and then I assume it sends it into the computer via USB. Is this a solution that will work, or is there something better? I am not looking for a $1000 solution, just something that is a couple hundred dollars if possible?

thanks in advance..An unreleased Oasis ALD from the Be Here Now Era sits on a dat awaiting a good answer! (ie I cant transfer it till I have a solution)
