I've got a dual mode CD (Specifically the Jeff Buckley double disc). Traditionally with my cd's i make a set of copies that i use for the car so that I can leave the originals at home in sleeves. I'm a touch neurotic about the care of my cds- so if copies get scratched i could care less. Nero isn't letting me do a disc copy and EAC isnt reading the disc as having any music on it... how do I work around this?

Can you make an image out of it and then burn the image to a new disc?
-
i honestly have no idea how to do this in nero 6

Try the CD-Extra tutorial (http://ftp://ftp6.nero.com/Support_doc/PDFData/CdExtraCD.PDF) on the Nero website.

ok ive seen that, however its not telling me how to grab all the info off the original cd to copy to the new cd. i could care less if all the data was there, i just want the music

Actually, now that I look at it, I think we can skip the CD-Extra bit and follow MattD's advice. Try this:
[1] Put in the CD you want to copy
[2] From the main menu choose Recorder > Copy Disc
[3] In the New Compilation window, select the Image tab
[4] Specify a directory and filename for the image Nero will create from the CD
(Nero will create the image)
[5] Put in your blank CDR
[6] From the main menu choose Recorder > Burn Image
[7] Find the image you specified in [4]
[8] Burn away
