Title: WavLab question

Does WavLab have the ability to select multiple wav files and string them all together? I grabbed a show from Dime that wasn't tracked to my liking and I wanted to to string all the files together and re-track with CDWAV.

I've never used WavLab, but in Cool Edit this is called "Open Append".  Is there an option that looks like that among the File > Open choices?

you could simply copy and paste the tracks together.  that would take a while though.  I use a old program called wave merge to do this.  you add all the wave files and then it creates one big wave file from the tracks.  shntool can do it as well.

There is an insert file option, under a menu (maybe process, I forget).
No point in using CDWAV to track a show, Wavelab is perfectly capable.


Side note:  When you extract music from a CD using Wavelab it creates
a list of files in a separate window.  There is an option in this widow to
join all the tracks together.  Perhaps it is possible to create this window
from existing wav files (I have not checked).  It would be faster/easier
than inserting each file.

I downloaded Wave Merge. I wanted a batch process for the merging in one easy step.  Thanks for the advice.

nice to know it can still be found!  a few years ago I had a hard time finding it.  looks like it's available here

shntool does this extremely fast and efficiently.

Wavlab does this very easily


You just open the first, select it, and when then "append" the second to the first.


There is a menu option that allows you to do this (I believe it's either in the File Menu or the Edit Menu - something like "append File to end")
