When my niece moved to the U.K., I gave her my Logitech Pro 9000 web cam, so she and my cousin would stay in touch.
She uses it often, and I have have no regret, except...
I gave it up because I rarely used it, having a family full of technophobic ludites.
Now, COVID-19 ... and everyone wants to video call, video party, telemedicine, telegymn, ...all that.
Of course, no $$$ can source one!
My phone doesn't cut it and rolls to the side, and I'm looking at upgrades. (Pixel 3)
But I'd like a permanent monitor-mounted cam again.
Anyone have one to sell?
Any ideas on a creative solution?
I remember that the Professor on Gilligan's Island was able to turn a table radio into a transmitter...
Anything like that for camera?
Can I turn the baby monitor, DSLR, or a security guard's lapel cam into a Web Cam?

Found a chain of wires and adapters that has live view working as web can from an old digicam
So now I expect back orders and stock notices to flood inbox...

As you found all the Logitech ones are either sold out or are being price gouged! I ended up ordering one of these to try out. Still hasn't arrived yet so we'll see. Cheap and reviews are ok...

Lucky!
Sold out already, ...same with Creative and Microsoft products
I'm adverse to products that I don't have a review or recommendation from someone who's opinion I trust.

Back in stock and they have a few others. It did take 13 days from the time of order. Testing it with camera app in Windows 10 and it seems fine.
