I have heard a lot about this FLAC thing and I am wondering if a program exists to decompress FLAC files from a Macintosh running OS 9.2. All I have seen are versions for OS X or above. My computer is pretty old and does not have the system requirements for OS X. Any assistance would be great!

As far as I know, doesn't exist (see Scott Brown's postings in other forums). This would be the one drawback of FLAC. I do not know if it runs under a DOS/Windows emulator or not, though. That would be something to check out.
I run 9.2.2, but transfer to a PC on a LAN to convert to/from FLAC.

It only works in OSX. SOunds like time to upgrade to OSX Jaguar

some people can't upgrade to os x, just like not all PCs can handle windows XP
like matt said, this is exactly why i have said flac shoulldn't replace shn for 16 bit. some people can't deal with the files
