Post by: tractor on July 24, 2005, 01:45:27 PM

What is the best battery to buy for the 722.  I am looking for one that will last a whole show.  I am looking at this one

http://www.batterysavings.com/Sony/NPF970/BCD1112.aspx

I have the 7.4V version of that and have tested it around 5 hours...so you should be able to get a full show out of that unit...but if it was me, I would just spend a little extra and get the 7.4V...a little extra capacity cant hurt...

I would also recommend a dual batt charger:

also comes with the cigarette lighter connection...always nice to be able to charge a couple at once!

I bought the Power2000 it’s a 7.4v 6000MAH I can get about 5 hours out of it 24/96 I picked up 2 of them just incase. They don’t weight anything compared to a SLA so 2 is not big deal. Also if your going to continue to run a V2 or V3 in front of it a 12sla can still be used you just need to get a power cable I’m thinking about picking up the dual out put 12volt to run the v2 and 722 off the one battery.

To answer your question that battery will work just fine.
