Title: Comparing JB3 and iRiver hp120-which one?
Post by: SpareRibs on June 23, 2006, 12:10:06 AM
I just got the JB3.... and as an MP3 player, especially when I listen to the line out with a portable headphone amp, it sounds excellent.

My issue is that I don't want to use it as an MP3 player because I want to use it as a recording device only. I've read that the iRiver has a line out too. Is the sound quality just as good as the JB3 as an MP3 player with the line out?

I'm not sure if I should buy another JB3 as an MP3 player or the iRiver. Which should I get for better sound quality playback?

I have an Hp120, I love it!  Sounds great to me.  I can’t imagine carrying the big JB3 around with me.  The Hp120 is also great for stealthing.  Never trade it for a JB3 for recording or playback.

The iriver h340 is what I have, and it sounds amazing, esp with rockbox.

The only problem is that is doesnt have the high-quality line-in, just a plain digital line-in jack
but line-out sounds really good, i actually dj with it
