Topic: grace V2 vs FMR RNP w/c480s??

my applications are mostly chamber music in a studio setting.  i would appreciate comments from anyone who has used both these preamps, preferably with akg c480s.  which one is smoother in the top end?  thanks.

oh hell, never mind - i finally got tired of screwing around and just bought a millennia media HV-3B.  at least now i can stop obsessing about preamps :-)
now i can obsess about converters... hmmm, mytek, lake-people, weiss.....

have you heard the lake-people unit? just curious.
you might want to wait for the benchmark unit..

anders - i got a very interesting email from a guy in germany about the lake-people pres and converters.  he had switched from HV3s with DCS 900B and a sonosax with  Weiss ADC1  to the lake-people EMAD V25, because he felt like the HV3 was "too coloured" (not a comment i have ever heard before about the millennia pres, so i was rather intrigued.)  he described the chips and other technical items in fair detail - if you are interested, i can forward his email to you.

thank you.the thing is lake-people have a portable adc which looks very tight.
millennia too colored? wow.the hv3 is less colored than the grace v3( grace beibg a bit euphonic on the high end)
