Topic: Icon wont go away

Dont know if this the right place to post but computers seems logical. I have an icon that wont go away. I used the right click on the toolbar to close out firefox and I can still see    X Close   Alt + F4. No matter what I do it wont go away. Even if I drag the toolbar to the right side of the screen it remains on the very lower edge of the screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Yeah more than once I tried closing another window over top of that one and nothing. System Restore? Is this a virus? Ran spy & anti virus. Im at a loss here.

It sounds a bit like spyware/malware.  Personally I would back up criticals and wipe its ass clean.
