McIntosh MC6100 or MX-113 Vs. Music Hall Mambo
« on: September 30, 2008, 11:55:47 PM »
I have the Mambo now, I love it's warm almost tube-like sound when paired with the VR-1's.  I'm looking to get a bit more punch than i'm getting while still retaining the warmth I love.

Would either of these two units be a good consideration for me?  If so what would be a good ballpark to pay? They're both for sale locally.

Thanks!

Any well-designed 50 - 100 wt Tube amp should do it

Think a pair of KT-88's per channel:

             the Prima Luna Prologue II
"Peace is for everyone"
        - Norah Jones

"Music is the drug that won't kill you"
         - Fran Lebowitz
