Weird... they look like a knockoff of the DPA 4061 (and are priced in that neighborhood too).  I wonder if it's only available in white??  Seems that would reduce some of the "stealthiness."

Definitely curious to hear about this new option as well...
Mics: Schoeps MK4V, MK41V, MK5, MK22> CMC6, KCY 250/5, KC5, NBob; MBHO MBP603/KA200N, AT 3031, DPA 4061 w/ d:vice, Naiant X-X, AT 853c, shotgun, Nak300
Pres/Power: Aerco MP2, tinybox v2  [KCY], CA-UBB
Decks: Sound Devices MixPre 6, Zoom F8, M10, D50

I need to know where you get your 4061s!!! :)  At ~$400 each ($443 on the B&H site) they are a lot more expensive than these Sound Pros.  Especially once you add in the cost of re-terminating the mics or getting P48 adapters or a DPA battery box...

It says on the Sound Pros website that these mics "are the smallest professional omnidirectional microphones available".  I guess maybe that hinges on the definition of "professional"; there are several I can think of off the top of my head that are the same size (.2" x .3") or smaller.  The MM-HLSO-MICRO is .16" x .16", costs $50 less, and has better specs to boot (not to mention the pricier incarnations of the MKE2).  The Countryman B6 is half the size (at .1") and the B3 is the same diameter (.2")...

The cables are only 3' too; I wonder if they can make it with longer cables (I am guessing not since they have extension cable as an option)?  And a different color...

You can find 4061s on here as low as $300 for a set in need of a little TLC.  I paid $650 for mine in the YS.  I think the going rate is between $450-650 for a normal set.  Mine are the Coresound HEB version, which may or may not suit your needs depending on the application.

Without having seen these mics, I agree re: your comments on the claims on SP's page.  They don't seem to be the smallest mics in their category, or smaller than 4061s.

If they sound as good as the CMC-8 (i.e., AT943) omnis, these could be a pretty good choice.  I like my CMC-8 omnis a lot... I just like my 4061s better..

I asked SP regarding the differences between the CMC 8 omni and this mic and they said they are very similar ??? Well, a pity they are not able to post some samples...

The DPAs are still around twice as much (used) as a new pair of these Sound Pros...To me, price-wise, they are just in a different category (looking at the specs, I am guessing they are in a different category performance-wise too, but who knows).  I have also seen the DPAs for around $300 a pair, but it seems like those are usually ex-Broadway mics and can be sort of banged up (and often beige, too); I would be hesitant to buy them from someone I didn't know.  I have heard some stories about people getting burned buying them from eBay...

None of what you say is untrue; that SoundPros mic set looks like it'll be close to $400 once you get a power supply, which makes it less than 50% of the price of a new set of DPAs, and still $200 or so less than a good set of used DPAs.  You are right that most DPAs in the YS and elsewhere at below the ~$600 price seem to be ones that have drawbacks.  On the other hand, I've seen DPA sets that people have gotten at that price and used very successfully.  It depends on your confidence level about the gear and how comfortable you might be getting the gear repaired or tuned up right after buying it.

I'd also note again that some people *like* the Sound Pros CMC8 sound more than the DPA sound.  Having used both, I agree that the Sound Pros mics have a brighter and more "up-front" sound.  Assuming these new, smaller mics sound like the CMC-8, they could be a good option for people.  That is, if they aren't white.

The truth will come out only when we hear samples.  These are unknown capsules of Chinese origin, likely.  Nothing wrong with that, but somehow I don't expect them to compete with top tier mics like: Countryman B3, DPA406x or Sennheiser MKE2.  I highly recommend the B3, and that can be had for approximately the same price, $150 each, with bare ends.

Where is your B3 hookup Richard? That sounds like a great deal.

I got mine from Trew Audio (in Canada).  I think you can get them from Fullcompass.com too, for a good price.  Make sure to ask for the unterminated version, and regular sensitivity, ... and in black.

I can't speak for the vendor and they aren't black (beige & cocoa) but B3's for $138.78US each...what a deal!

Would recommend fullcompass.com.  Good (and consistent!) prices, responsive, and good service.

Solid advice. Generally speaking, how much would it typically cost to have someone terminate a pair of these? MiniXLR and 3.5mm?
