how do you store your headphones when not in use?

duumy head? hanging off the tuner? on the floor with the chord coiled around them?  is there a proper way to store them when not is use?

My Beyer 880's came in a case.  But all my other phones hang from coat rack hooks or nails in the wall.

You can always get creative:

I hermetically seal mine in Tupperware cake server with fifteen silica desiccant packets    ;D

I used a dummy head wearing a Nixon mask for a while... photo somewhere...

I hermetically seal mine in a big ziplock, but I might browse the  tupperware section next.  I used to use a plaster dummy head of myself, made by an aunt when I was 5, but the beatlesque mop-top hair style stretched things out too much, sort of like the Nixon political enemies list..  nice mental image of him critically listening to those 18 minutes on your cans.

A friend has a nice semi-rigid, zippered fabric case- sort of like a giant sunglasses case that I'd love to find.

I use the little stand that came with my AKG 701's

I'd like one of these, but they are a bit spendy.

^^thats what prompted me to start this thread....i saw those stands as well and thought that they are waaay overpriced....
